Bending Energy

The main place you can bend energy is between your own hands. The main energy that you are bending is your opponents. This is actually simple but you have to be fast. Pretend the Scepter is a hose and you are directing the flow as it comes out of your end of the Scepter. If your opponent is trying to pull you off center bend the energy to the sky. If your opponent is trying to push you off center bend the energy into the earth. It is basically that simple. An opponent's energy from whatever angle can be bent so it does not have a direct effect on you. This takes a lot of practice and as I said you have to be fast. The best way to practice bending energy is to have your opponent apply a steady forward push. Bend it into the earth. Have your opponent apply a steady pull. Bend it into the sky. The best way to get fast and strong at bending energy is to change your focus in competition. Go from flowing with your opponent to standing fast. Try not to move your hands more than a few inches from your own center and simply bend all efforts against you. If your opponent gets you rocking during this exercise get ready to flow again. If you can rock it you can tip it over.
